Setup

Start a project

Use this order.

This avoids most early setup issues.

Create the project, then import the main .glb or .gltf stage file.
Upload the stage before creating comps.
Upload media after the stage so mapping is easier.
Create focused comps by cue or scene beat.

Map and preview

Map in the viewer.

Check mapping in scene context.

Use library upload for organization, or drag to a surface for quick mapping.
After version changes, play once and verify mapped surfaces.
If the scene is dark, adjust Environment, Exposure, and Direct Light first.
Use versions for alternates instead of rebuilding.

Stage import

I uploaded a stage, but the scene still looks wrong or incomplete.

Use a .glb or .gltf stage file with embedded textures when possible. If it still looks wrong, re-upload the main stage and reopen the editor.

Mapping

My screen is mapped, but it still looks black or empty.

Check active media version, target mesh, and comp playback. If the scene is dark, raise Environment, Exposure, or Direct Light first.
